The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) has announced the launch of the Mega Employment Fair Lima, an event that will offer 6,000 vacancies across various sectors. This fair will take place on February 25, 2026, at the Jockey Exhibition Center, aimed at facilitating labor insertion and reducing unemployment in the region.

The Mega Employment Fair comes at a time when Peru's unemployment rate has shown signs of recovery but still faces significant challenges, especially among youth and vulnerable sectors. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), the youth unemployment rate remains above 15%, highlighting the urgent need for initiatives like this.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to interact directly with companies from various industries, such as technology, construction, and services, that are looking for talent to fill their vacancies. Additionally, workshops on skills training and career counseling will be offered to enhance applicants' abilities.

The Minister of Labor, in a statement, emphasized the importance of creating spaces where citizens can access job opportunities directly. 'The Mega Employment Fair not only aims to provide vacancies but also to empower applicants with tools that allow them to stand out in the competitive labor market,' he stated.

This initiative is expected to contribute not only to reducing unemployment but also to fostering a more dynamic and inclusive work environment in the Peruvian capital. Those interested in participating must register in advance through the official MTPE website to secure their attendance.

With the Mega Employment Fair, the MTPE reaffirms its commitment to the economic development of the country and the generation of decent work for all Peruvians.
